Via Crucis

The Via Crucis, or Way of the Cross, is a devotional practice in Christianity that commemorates Jesus Christ’s journey to his crucifixion. It involves meditative reflection on 14 specific events or stations along his path, from sentencing to his death and burial. Participants often walk a series of stations, either physically or spiritually, to deepen their understanding of Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice. This devotion fosters prayer, introspection, and empathy, helping believers connect more profoundly with the suffering and love demonstrated by Jesus. It is commonly observed during Lent and especially on Good Friday.
