Vhils
Vhils is the pseudonym of the Portuguese street artist and sculptor Alexandre Farto. He is known for creating striking art by carving, etching, and scraping directly into walls and surfaces, often revealing layered textures and images beneath the exterior. His work explores themes of urban decay, history, and human identity, transforming ordinary cityscapes into powerful visual narratives. By using physical removal rather than painting, Vhils offers a unique and Permanent commentary on the city environment and its stories. His innovative approach has gained international recognition for blending street art with fine art techniques.
