Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs)
Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) are groups that provide support and resources to military veterans and their families. They advocate for veterans’ rights, help them access benefits such as healthcare and education, and offer assistance with navigating the bureaucracy of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VSOs also create community and social connections among veterans, helping them adjust to civilian life. Examples include the American Legion, VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). These organizations play a vital role in ensuring that veterans receive the recognition and support they deserve.
