Vergence

Vergence is the coordinated movement of your eyes as they work together to focus on an object at different distances. When you look at something close, your eyes turn inward (converge). When you look at something far away, they turn outward (diverge). This movement helps keep the object centered on the retina of each eye, enabling clear and single vision. Vergence is essential for depth perception and depth judgment, integrating with other visual mechanisms to give us a comfortable and accurate view of the world.
