Velocipede

A velocipede is an early type of bicycle that was developed in the 19th century. Unlike modern bikes, it often had a wooden or metal frame, with large front wheels and smaller rear wheels, and was powered by the rider pushing with their feet on pedals directly attached to the front wheel. The design was primitive, offering a rougher ride and limited speed. Velocipedes played a key role in the evolution of bicycles, leading to safer, more efficient designs like the modern bicycle we use today.
