VCI (Viet Cong Infrastructure)

VCI (Viet Cong Infrastructure) refers to the hidden support network that sustained the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. It included logistics, supplies, communications, and safe zones providing resources and coordination for guerrilla fighters. This infrastructure allowed the Viet Cong to operate effectively despite being outnumbered and outgunned by U.S. forces. The VCI comprised underground tunnels, supply routes, local villagers, and covert operations, making it difficult for enemies to disrupt their activities. Essentially, VCI was the backbone of the Viet Cong’s ability to resist and sustain their insurgency throughout the conflict.
