VAS
VAS, or Visual Analogue Scale, is a tool used to measure a person's perception of a particular sensation or feeling, like pain or discomfort. It typically presents as a straight line, usually 10 centimeters long, with endpoints labeled "no pain" and "worst pain imaginable." The individual marks a point along the line that best represents their level of sensation. The distance from the "no pain" end to their mark is measured to provide a numerical value, offering a simple, standardized way to quantify subjective experiences for clinical or research purposes.
