Varnishing
Varnishing is a process of applying a transparent, protective coating—called varnish—over a surface, typically wood or artwork. The purpose is to safeguard the material from damage caused by moisture, dirt, and UV rays, while enhancing its appearance by adding a glossy or matte finish. Varnish also helps to preserve colors and details, making the surface more durable and easier to clean. The process involves evenly applying a liquid varnish, which then dries and forms a clear, hard film that protects the underlying material.
