Vanyarin

Vanyarin refers to the language spoken by the Vanyar, a noble and ancient Elven kindred in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth legendarium. It is part of the Elvish languages, specifically a dialect of Quenya, the High Elvish tongue. Vanyarin developed among the Vanyar in Valinor, the Elven homeland, and is characterized by distinct pronunciation and vocabulary features. It reflects their cultural elegance, spiritual focus, and close connection to the Valar (angelic beings). While not extensively detailed in Tolkien’s texts, Vanyarin represents the linguistic and cultural identity of the most revered and ancient Elven community.
