Value-Free Sociology

Value-free sociology is the idea that sociologists aim to study society objectively, without letting their personal beliefs, biases, or moral judgments influence their research or conclusions. It emphasizes that social analysis should be based on evidence and facts rather than opinions or values. While complete objectivity is challenging, the goal is to produce neutral, unbiased understanding of social phenomena, allowing others to interpret findings without the influence of the researcher’s personal perspectives.
