Value-Added Model

A Value-Added Model (VAM) is a way to measure a teacher’s impact on student learning by analyzing how much students improve academically over time, considering their starting point and other factors. It assesses each teacher’s effectiveness beyond just test scores, helping to identify who is improving student achievement more skillfully. This model aims to provide a fair, data-driven way to evaluate teaching quality and support instructional improvement, focusing on growth rather than just final results.
