Valentinian II was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 375 to 392 AD. As a young emperor, he was part of the Valentinian dynasty and inherited power during a time of increasing instability and external threats to the Roman Empire. His reign was marked by political challenges, including conflicts among generals, religious tensions, and pressure from invading tribes. Despite his youth, he was officially recognized as emperor, but real authority often involved court intrigue and power struggles.
