Vacuum extraction

Vacuum extraction is a medical procedure used to assist childbirth when labor is slow or complications arise. A small cup with a suction device is placed on the baby's head through the mother's birth canal. Gentle suction and usually a pulling force are applied to help guide the baby out during contractions. The goal is to safely deliver the baby while minimizing stress or injury. This method is typically used when the mother is exhausted or needs assistance to avoid a Cesarean section. It’s performed carefully by trained healthcare professionals to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
