V-Discs
V-Discs were special records produced during World War II for U.S. military personnel overseas. Created by the government, they contained popular music, jazz, patriotic songs, and comedy recordings, designed to boost morale among soldiers. Unlike commercial records, V-Discs were not sold to the public and often carried labels indicating they were for military use only. They played a key role in maintaining morale and cultural connection during wartime, and today, they are valued for their historical significance and unique recordings of that era's artists.
