Uveitis

Uveitis is an inflammation of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye that contains blood vessels and helps nourish the retina. It can cause redness, pain, sensitivity to light, blurry vision, and can be caused by infections, autoimmune diseases, or injury. If left untreated, uveitis can lead to serious complications, including vision loss. Managing uveitis often involves medications like corticosteroids or other treatments to reduce inflammation and address the underlying cause. Regular eye examinations are important for monitoring and maintaining eye health.
