UVA rays
UVA rays are a type of ultraviolet radiation from the sun that can penetrate deep into the skin, contributing to skin aging and long-term skin damage. Unlike UVB rays, which mostly affect the outer skin and cause sunburn, UVA rays are present all day and year-round, even on cloudy days. They can also penetrate glass, so you’re exposed indoors or in cars. Protecting your skin with broad-spectrum sunscreen, wearing protective clothing, and seeking shade helps reduce UVA-related skin damage and the risk of skin cancer.
