UVA and UVB radiation
UVA and UVB rays are types of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. UVA rays penetrate deeply into the skin, contributing to aging and long-term skin damage, and can also increase the risk of skin cancer. UVB rays affect the skin's outer layers, causing sunburn and playing a primary role in developing skin cancer and sun damage. Both types can harm your skin, but UVB rays are more intense and can cause immediate burns, while UVA rays are more associated with aging. Using broad-spectrum sunscreen, wearing protective clothing, and seeking shade help protect against both UVA and UVB radiation.
