UV-A
UV-A is a type of ultraviolet light from the sun that reaches the Earth's surface. It has the longest wavelengths among UV rays, allowing it to penetrate deep into the skin. While it contributes to skin aging and can sometimes play a role in skin cancer, it is less intense than UV-B. UV-A is present during both sunny and cloudy days and can pass through glass. Protecting your skin includes wearing broad-spectrum sunscreen, seeking shade, and wearing protective clothing, especially during peak sunlight hours, to reduce long-term skin damage from UV-A exposure.
