Uttarakhand Kranti Dal

Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) is a regional political party in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, founded in 1979 to promote local identity, rights, and development. It emerged from the movement demanding a separate state for the hill regions of northern Uttar Pradesh, which eventually led to the creation of Uttarakhand in 2000.
