UTM
UTM, or Universal Transverse Mercator, is a coordinate system used to precisely locate points on Earth's surface. It divides the world into a grid of zones, each covering a specific area, with coordinates measured in meters east (easting) and north (northing). This system provides a consistent way to map locations across different regions, making it useful for navigation, surveying, and mapping projects. Unlike latitude and longitude, UTM offers a flat, grid-based coordinate system that simplifies distance and area calculations within each zone.
