UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs anywhere along the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra. It happens when bacteria, usually from the skin or rectum, enter the urinary pathway and multiply, causing symptoms like a burning sensation during urination, frequent urge to urinate, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and pelvic discomfort. UTIs are common, especially in women, and can usually be treated effectively with antibiotics. Proper hydration, good hygiene, and medical attention are important to prevent and resolve infections promptly.
