USS Bell (DE-15)
USS Bell (DE-15) was a U.S. Navy destroyer escort launched during World War II, designed to protect convoys and larger ships from submarines and aircraft. Built with a focus on anti-submarine warfare, it used sonar, depth charges, and radar to detect and combat enemy threats in the Atlantic. The ship served primarily in protecting vital shipping routes, ensuring troops and supplies reached their destinations safely. After the war, USS Bell was decommissioned and eventually scrapped, but it played a key role in maintaining maritime safety during wartime operations.
