Urogenital Sinus
The urogenital sinus is an internal cavity in the developing embryo that serves as a common passage for urine from the bladder and, in females, for the reproductive tract (like the vagina). In males, it contributes to forming parts of the urinary and reproductive systems. During development, tissues from the urogenital sinus differentiate into structures such as the bladder, urethra, and parts of the reproductive organs. Its formation and development are crucial for the proper functioning of the urinary and reproductive systems in both sexes.
