URL (Uniform Resource Locator)

A URL, or Uniform Resource Locator, is the address used to access resources on the internet. It tells your web browser where to find a specific webpage or file. A typical URL includes several parts: the protocol (like "http" or "https"), the domain name (such as "example.com"), and sometimes additional information like paths or queries (e.g., "/page1?search=query"). For instance, in the URL "https://www.example.com/index.html", "https" indicates a secure connection, "www.example.com" is the website's address, and "/index.html" specifies the particular page to access.
