Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) occur when harmful bacteria enter the urinary system, which includes the bladder, urethra, and kidneys. Common symptoms include a frequent urge to urinate, burning sensation when urinating, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and sometimes lower abdominal pain. UTIs are more common in women due to anatomical factors. They can be treated effectively with antibiotics. Preventative measures include staying hydrated, practicing good hygiene, and urinating after intercourse. If left untreated, UTIs can lead to more serious complications, such as kidney infections, so it’s important to seek medical advice if symptoms arise.
