Urinary Tract Infection

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs when bacteria enter and multiply in any part of the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra. It’s common and can cause symptoms like a burning sensation during urination, frequent urge to urinate, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and lower abdominal discomfort. UTIs are usually treated with antibiotics. Proper hydration and good hygiene can help prevent them. If untreated, especially in the kidneys, they can lead to more serious health problems, so prompt medical attention is recommended if a UTI is suspected.
