Ureteroscopy

Ureteroscopy is a medical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the urinary tract, especially the ureters and kidneys. A thin, flexible tube called a ureteroscope is inserted through the bladder and up into the ureter. This allows doctors to examine, remove stones, or perform repairs. The procedure is minimally invasive, usually done under anesthesia, and often helps relieve pain and prevent infections caused by blockages. It’s generally safe, with a quick recovery time, enabling patients to resume normal activities soon after.
