Urban Consolidation Centers
Urban Consolidation Centers (UCCs) are facilities set up in or near city centers to streamline the delivery of goods. Instead of multiple delivery trucks navigating urban areas, suppliers drop off their products at a UCC. From there, deliveries are organized and dispatched using smaller, more efficient vehicles. This approach reduces traffic congestion, lowers emissions, and improves the reliability of deliveries. UCCs help businesses save costs while making cities more livable by cutting down on noise and pollution from heavy trucks.
