Ural Mountains
The Ural Mountains are a mountain range located in western Russia, extending approximately 2,500 miles from north to south. They form a natural dividing line between Europe and Asia, serving as a geographical boundary. The mountains are rich in minerals and natural resources, including metals and gemstones. They are relatively old, formed around 250 to 300 million years ago, and consist mainly of rugged peaks, forests, and tundra. The Ural Mountains also play a significant cultural and historical role, traditionally marking the border between European Russia and Siberian territories.
