UPR-HSF

UPR-HSF stands for Unfolded Protein Response—Heat Shock Factor. It’s a cellular process that helps cells cope with stress caused by misfolded or damaged proteins, which can happen during things like heat or disease. When such stress occurs, the cell activates UPR-HSF to produce heat shock proteins, which act as molecular chaperones. These help refold or remove the faulty proteins, protecting the cell's health. Essentially, UPR-HSF is the cell’s way of managing protein quality control during stressful conditions to maintain normal function.
