Unsaturated Solution
An unsaturated solution is one that contains less dissolved solute than it could hold at a specific temperature. In other words, more solute could be added and still dissolve completely without forming a separate solid. It is stable because the solvent has not yet reached its maximum capacity to dissolve the solute. For example, if you stir sugar into tea until no more dissolves, the solution is saturated; if more sugar can still be dissolved, the solution remains unsaturated. Unsaturated solutions are common in daily life and in many industrial processes.
