UNRWA

UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, is an organization established in 1949 to provide aid to Palestinian refugees in the Middle East. Its mission includes offering education, healthcare, social services, and emergency assistance to help refugees maintain their dignity and stability. Operating mainly in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip, UNRWA aims to address the humanitarian needs resulting from long-standing conflicts and displacement. It is funded primarily by voluntary contributions from UN member states and works to support vulnerable Palestinian communities while advocating for their rights and well-being.
