UNOS

UNOS, or the United Network for Organ Sharing, is a nonprofit organization responsible for managing the nation’s organ transplant system in the United States. It develops and maintains a centralized database to match donated organs with recipients based on medical urgency, compatibility, and fairness. UNOS coordinates the allocation process, ensuring that organs are distributed efficiently and ethically to save as many lives as possible.
