University of Paris (1971-2019)

The University of Paris, also known as the Sorbonne, was a historic and influential educational institution in France, founded in the 12th century. In 1970, it was dissolved following student protests, leading to its division into multiple independent universities in 1971. These new universities, such as Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, continue its academic legacy, each specializing in different fields.
