Universal recipient

A universal recipient is a person whose immune system is compatible with most blood types, allowing them to safely receive blood from any donor. This happens because their blood lacks certain antibodies that would attack incompatible blood types. Usually, individuals with type AB blood are universal recipients, as their blood can accommodate any other blood type without adverse reactions. This trait makes transfusions easier for them, as they can receive blood from a wide variety of donors without risking rejection or complications.
