Unity Party of Nigeria
The Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) was a political party founded in 1978, aimed at promoting unity, education, and economic development across Nigeria. It was known for its emphasis on reforming the education system and fostering national integration, especially during Nigeria’s transition from military to civilian rule in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The UPN attracted supporters with its progressive policies and focus on good governance. Although it disbanded after military coups, its ideas and leadership influenced Nigerian politics and the development of democratic institutions in the country.
