United States Attorneys
United States Attorneys are federal prosecutors representing the U.S. government in legal matters. Each of the 94 federal districts has a U.S. Attorney appointed by the President, who works under the Department of Justice. Their primary role is to prosecute criminal cases brought by the federal government, handle civil litigation in which the government is involved, and enforce federal laws. They play a crucial role in the justice system by ensuring that laws are upheld and that justice is served while also protecting the interests of the federal government in court.
