United Kingdom Accounting Standards Board (UK ASB)

The United Kingdom Accounting Standards Board (UK ASB) was an organization responsible for developing and promoting accounting standards for companies in the UK. It aimed to ensure that financial information was transparent, consistent, and useful for investors and stakeholders. The UK ASB worked to make sure that companies followed common rules when preparing their financial statements, helping maintain trust in the financial system. In 2012, it was merged into the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), which continued its mission by overseeing accounting standards and financial reporting in the UK.
