unique indexicals
Unique indexicals are words like "I," "here," and "now" that refer to specific aspects of the speaker's situation at the moment of utterance. Unlike other words whose references are fixed, indexicals point to something only from the speaker's perspective and context. For example, "I" always refers to the person speaking, and "here" points to the location where the speaker is. Their meaning depends on who is saying them and when/where they say them, making their references context-dependent and inherently tied to the speaker's situation.
