Union of the Russian People
The Union of the Russian People was a far-right, nationalist organization in early 20th-century Russia, founded in 1905. It promoted traditional Russian values, Orthodox Christianity, and monarchism, opposing liberal reforms and revolutionary movements. The group supported strong centralized authority, often using aggressive and paramilitary tactics to suppress dissent. Its members believed in restoring Russia’s imperial greatness and safeguarding Russian identity against external and internal threats. The organization played a significant role in shaping conservative political attitudes during the pre-revolutionary period and was associated with anti-Semitic and reactionary ideologies.
