Unicameralism

Unicameralism is a legislative system where a government’s law-making body has just one chamber or house. Unlike bicameral systems, which have two chambers (like the U.S. Congress with the House and Senate), unicameral systems consolidate the legislative process into a single group. This structure often results in more straightforward decision-making, quicker legislation, and potentially lower costs. It is commonly found in smaller countries or regions and allows for more direct representation, but may also concentrate power in one body, reducing checks and balances.
