UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)

The UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is a global partnership between the United Nations and the financial sector, including banks, insurers, and investors. Its goal is to promote sustainable finance by encouraging financial institutions to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their decision-making processes. By doing so, UNEP FI aims to support a transition to a more sustainable global economy, reduce risks related to climate change and other environmental issues, and promote responsible investment and lending practices that benefit both society and the planet.
