Unconditioned Response
An unconditioned response is a natural, automatic reaction to a specific stimulus that doesn't require any learning or prior experience. For example, when you smell food, your mouth may water instinctively; this salivation is the unconditioned response. It occurs naturally and reliably in response to certain stimuli, known as unconditioned stimuli. Essentially, it’s your body's involuntary reaction that happens without you needing to think about it, forming the basis for understanding how associative learning, like classical conditioning, develops.
