Ultraviolet Radiation (UV Radiation)

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a type of energy emitted by the sun, which is invisible to the human eye. It is categorized into three types: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA can prematurely age skin, UVB causes sunburn and is linked to skin cancer, while UVC is mostly absorbed by the Earth’s atmosphere and doesn't reach us. UV radiation is essential for producing vitamin D in the body, but excessive exposure can damage skin and eyes. To protect yourself, use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit time in direct sunlight, especially during peak hours.
