Uloric

Uloric (febuxostat) is a prescription medication used to lower uric acid levels in the blood, helping prevent gout attacks and complications. Gout occurs when excess uric acid forms crystals in joints, causing pain and inflammation. Uloric works by blocking an enzyme involved in producing uric acid, reducing its levels in the body. It’s usually prescribed for people who cannot take other gout medications or for whom those treatments aren’t effective. While effective, it can have side effects and requires medical supervision, especially for people with certain health conditions.
