UK's Department for International Development (DFID)
The UK's Department for International Development (DFID) was a government department responsible for managing the UK's aid to support development and fight poverty worldwide. Its goal was to improve living conditions, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities in developing countries. DFID worked with partners globally to promote sustainable growth and reduce inequality. In 2020, it merged into the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), combining diplomatic and aid functions to create a more integrated approach to international development and UK foreign policy.
