UK Borders Agency
The UK Borders Agency was a government organization responsible for managing immigration, visas, asylum applications, and border security in the United Kingdom. Its role was to regulate who could enter, stay, or leave the UK, ensuring compliance with immigration laws while safeguarding national security. The agency worked to process applications, enforce immigration rules, and prevent illegal entry or stay. In 2013, it was replaced by a part of the Home Office known as UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), which continues to handle these responsibilities today.
