Uighur language

The Uighur language is a Turkic language spoken primarily by the Uighur people in the Xinjiang region of China and in Central Asia. It is written in a modified Arabic script, although Latin and Cyrillic scripts have also been used historically. Uighur shares linguistic features with other Turkic languages, such as Kazakh and Uzbek. The language has a rich oral and written tradition, encompassing poetry, music, and literature. Today, Uighur faces challenges due to political and cultural pressures, which impact its use and preservation among the Uighur community and beyond.
