UDP-Lite
UDP-Lite is a network communication protocol that allows data transmission with some tolerance for errors. Unlike standard protocols that discard corrupted data, UDP-Lite can still pass partially damaged information, which is useful in applications like multimedia streaming where slight errors may not significantly affect quality. It offers flexible error checking, enabling critical parts of the data to be protected while letting less important parts be transmitted with fewer checks. This balance helps maintain smooth data flow even in noisy or unreliable network conditions, providing efficiency without entirely sacrificing data integrity.
