UCLA Regents
The UCLA Regents refers to the governing body of the University of California, responsible for overseeing the university's policies, budget, and overall direction. Comprising 26 members—12 regents appointed by the governor, 4 faculty members, 4 students, 1 alumni, and 4 ex officio members—the Board of Regents ensures the university maintains its mission of education, research, and public service. They make high-level decisions, approve budgets, and set policies to guide UCLA and other UC campuses. Their leadership helps maintain UCLA’s standards of academic excellence and organizational integrity.
